Clothes for a cause – ending Human Trafficking

Can Fashion Really Help End Human Trafficking?

Fashion for a Cause

The simple answer is: Yes and why not???

Human trafficking is such a HUGE problem and it takes all of us doing our bit to help bring it to an end.  Why not with luxury clothing? This is what we’re about at Proverbs By Efua.

Here are our 3 reasons why we think you should join us in ending modern-day slavery in the 21st century:

1. Slavery exists because many of our present day luxuries have been touched by modern-day slaves. We enjoy them, but sometimes we pay little to no attention to how we got them. How about we change that and make a conscious effort to consume items that are slave free. This goes from the food we eat to even the clothes we wear. We at Proverbs By Efua want to give those who already shop for luxury clothes, a great alternative to the clothes they normally shop for. These clothes represent freedom and go to help set slaves free.

2. This is a chain reaction. The greater your support, the more we can help. The more we can help, the faster we end human trafficking. The faster we end human trafficking, the happier this world overall will be. It sounds trite, but it’s true. There are an estimated 27 million slaves in the world today. The more people who fight to free them, in their own little way, the better this world will be overall and what greater joy than to know that you played a role in something this HUGE simply by buying a chic outfit from Proverbs By Efua.

The Style of Freedom

3. Every dress, scarf, top, or skirt (coming Spring/Summer 2014) that you buy represents FREEDOM. You look great and you’re doing something great and honestly, you haven’t really changed much of your normal  routine. You can’t beat that.
